Thomas Kiorboe (lab head), Andre Visser (fluid dynamicist), Tobias and Vincent (postdoc) at Charlottenlund palace, where the Danish Institute for Fisheries Research is located.
Quite a picturesque location for a research institute.
Thomas's lab is actually here in the stables, not the main palace building
At the end of the long driveway is the sea. Charlottenlund has been a marine research institute since 1935.
For those of you who can read Danish, here's some information about Charlottenlund.
The palace is surrounded by some woods, and at the time of my visit the autumn colours were spectacular.
Andy told me that this cottage on the palace grounds is actually full of marine animal specimens preserved in alcohol.
Right near my hotel in Osterpark there are some military barracks. They're the prettiest barracks I've ever seen.
Around the barracks.
