Visiting Kande village on the northern shore of Lake Malawi. Our guide Caesar explains that the chicken houses are built on stilts to prevent hyena attacks during the night.
We visited the Kande Primary school and were immediately surrounded by many local children wanted their pictures taken.
We sat in on an English lesson at the school - each class has approximately 100 students!

This small scorpion was hiding under the edge of our tent! It was about 10cm in length.
We experienced several tropical lightening storms while staying at Kande beach - here we managed to capture a bolt of lightening in the distance.

It took us over an hour to navigate this stretch of road in the truck - the potholes were waist high!
