In the heart of the Red Pyramid are several large chambers. Steph lives in this one.

The "Bent Pyramid" at Dashur. The first smooth-sided pyramid in Egypt. Building commenced at a steep angle, but it was unstable, so mid-way they changed to a shallower angle. Probably one of the most expensive engineering mistakes of all time.

Overloaded carts like this were commonplace in Cairo. One day we saw a cart like this overturn and bury an old lady under a pile of boxes. She was shaken but unharmed.
